Karin has been with Village & Life for a number of years. She has lived in Camps Bay all her life, and is passionate about it, especially the sunsets. She is passionate about her job and loves working with guests. She speaks fluent German, as it is her home language. Karin is married with 3 children. |

| Executive Housekeeper - Betty Plaatjies |

Betty started her career as a caregiver in an old age home in Somerset West. Betty completed her tertiary education in 1997, studying a course in Computer Literacy. She then became a private housekeeper to Carel du Plessis, an ex rugby coach, and a caregiver to his children. She then started working at The Bay Hotel as a Room Attendant and was promoted to Supervisor after 2 years. Betty was further promoted to Executive Housekeeper for Camps Bay Resort. Betty believes that Village & Life is a “college” that teaches her everyday and that it is a company that realises potential and develops that potential. |

| Handyman - Ismail Baderoen |

Ismail was born in Cape Town, matriculated at Wynberg High School.
He is a Plumber by trade (qualified), and after he worked at
Radisson SAS in Granger Bay, he started his employment at V&L. He has been with V&L for 8 years now, having spent over 5 years in De Waterkant Village and over two years at Camps Bay Resort.
Ismail’s hobbies include cycling, swimming and drift racing, using radio control cars! At the moment it is still social, but he hopes to do it competitively next year! |
